Originality
Submit only work that is yours. Copied, plagiarised or machine-spun content is rejected, and repeated violations lead to account removal.
Accuracy and sources
Write what happened as you remember it. If you state facts, statistics or claims about the world, add sources in the submission form. Opinions should be presented as opinions.
Respect and safety
We do not publish hate speech, harassment, threats, graphic violence or sexual content.
Privacy and people in your story
Change names and identifying details of private individuals unless they have agreed to be named. Do not publish phone numbers, addresses or other personal data.
Allegations and defamation
We do not publish unverified accusations of crimes or misconduct against identifiable people. Stories about difficult experiences are welcome when they are told responsibly.
Health, legal and financial topics
Stories share personal experience and are not professional advice.
Images
Only upload images you own or have permission to use.
Review and corrections
Editors may edit for clarity or ask for changes before publishing. If you spot an error in a published story, use the report button on the story or contact us and we will review it promptly.
